Intellectual Property & Logo Permissions
Guidelines for artwork and logo submissions
Your Responsibility
When you submit artwork, logos, or designs for customization, you confirm that:
- You own the rights to the artwork, or
- You have explicit permission from the rights holder to use it, or
- The artwork is properly licensed for commercial use on merchandise
This includes your organization's official logo, any custom designs, mascots, slogans, and any other visual elements.
What's Not Allowed
We cannot produce items that include:
- Copyrighted logos or images you don't have rights to use
- Trademarks of other organizations without permission
- Counterfeit or fake designer brand logos
- Offensive, illegal, or discriminatory content
- Content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
Approval Responsibility
You are responsible for obtaining any necessary approvals from your organization (e.g., your fraternity/sorority's national headquarters) before submitting logos for production.
Many Greek organizations and student groups have brand guidelines. Make sure your design complies with those guidelines.
TierOne's Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse any order that we believe:
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains inappropriate or offensive content
- Violates any applicable laws or regulations
If we refuse an order, you will be notified and refunded in full.
How to Submit Artwork
For the best results, please submit your artwork in the following formats:
- Preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF (vector formats)
- Accepted: High-resolution PNG (minimum 300 DPI, transparent background preferred)
Vector files ensure your logo looks crisp and clean at any size. If you only have a low-resolution image, we may ask you to provide a higher-quality version.
Brand Guideline Requests
If you need help locating your organization's official brand guidelines or logo files:
- Check with your chapter's leadership or national headquarters
- Many organizations provide brand assets through member portals
- Contact us if you need guidance — we've worked with many organizations and can help point you in the right direction
