What is a Group Drop?
A Group Drop is a pre-order window for your organization's custom merchandise. Here's how it works:
- Your chapter or organization gets a unique drop link
- Members order and pay individually through that link
- The drop has a deadline and a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
- Once the deadline passes and MOQ is met, production begins
- Items are delivered to each member's address (or a group address if specified)
How Does the MOQ Work?
The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is the minimum number of orders needed for production to proceed. This is required because custom items are made specifically for your group.
- Each drop page shows the current MOQ progress
- MOQ is typically based on total units ordered (not number of people)
- You can see how close the drop is to reaching MOQ in real-time
What Happens if MOQ Isn't Reached?
If the Minimum Order Quantity is not reached by the deadline:
- Production does not proceed
- Your payment is automatically refunded to the original payment method
- Refunds typically process within 5-10 business days
- You will receive an email notification

When Does Production Start?
Production begins after the drop deadline passes and MOQ is confirmed. We finalize designs, collect all order details, and send everything to production.
When Will I Be Charged?
You are charged at checkout when you place your order. If the MOQ isn't reached by the deadline, you will be automatically refunded.
Timeline Expectations
Here's a typical timeline for a Group Drop:
- Drop opens: You can place your order
- Deadline passes: No more orders accepted
- MOQ check: If met, production begins. If not, refunds issued.
- Production: 3-4 weeks
- Shipping: 1-2 weeks (US domestic)
- Delivery: Estimated 4-6 weeks after drop closes

Can I Cancel My Order?
Before the drop deadline: Yes, contact us and we can cancel your order.
After the drop deadline: Cancellation is not possible once production has begun. Custom items are made-to-order and cannot be cancelled or returned.
What is a drop_id and Where Do I Find It?
Your drop_id is a unique identifier for your order within a specific Group Drop. You'll find it:
- In your order confirmation email
- In the subject line or body of any TierOne emails about your order
Always include your drop_id when contacting us about an order — it helps us find your information quickly.
How to Help Your Drop Reach MOQ
- Share the drop link in your chapter's group chat
- Post it in your organization's social media or email list
- Remind members before the deadline
- Encourage members to order early
